Landscape Painter Finalist of the Year 2016 featured in the Hertfordshire Life Magazine. Awarded 'Best in Show' at the Much Hadham Art Society annual Art Exhibition. Awarded the 'John Godden' prize by the members of Hertford Art Society. Paintings selected for the 'Harlow Open' Exhibition 2017 at the Gibberd Gallery, Harlow, Essex. The artist exhibits around London, Essex, Hertfordshire and the paintings hang in private collections.
Having studied at the University of Hertfordshire, at Hatfield, Herts and achieved a Masters Degree in Fine and Applied Arts in 2004 and a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in 2001 working in many materials, and making conceptual sculptural forms.
Selected and exhibited at the New Designers Business Design Centre, Islington London. Also selected as a member of the Designer Crafts Mall Galleries London. Selected as a member of The Essex Craft Society. Exhibited at the Margaret Harvey Gallery St Albans. Artist in Residence at the Courtyard Arts in Hertford. Solo Exhibition at the relaunch of the Letchworth Art Centre.
The paintings aim to evoke a feeling, or capture an impression of a sense of place, an atmosphere or an unexpected detail rather than a direct likeness. Energising the stillness and creating diffused light, the quiet moment, the in between, the simplicity, the calmness the beauty of the transience of life.
