As a child I always enjoyed drawing and painting. However, it was only after bringing up a family and retiring from work that I was able to fulfil a promise to myself to join an art class. I am a member of two art societies offering various programmes and have found them and fellow members to be a source of encouragement, inspiration and motivation.
It is now nine years since I joined my “art class” and began my own particular artistic journey. It is one that has taken me down many paths, for my work is both figurative and abstract and includes landscapes, seascapes, portraits and still life. I use mainly acrylics, but also use collage, mixed media and print in my work.
I create art purely for pleasure and look forward to continuing my journey for many years to come.
