Christine Flintham SWA, SBA, SFP
Introduced to botanical art by Christabel King, a well-known botanical illustrator and tutor, Christine has been invited to join three prestigious national societies - The Society of Women Artists, The Society of Botanical Artists and The Society of Floral Painters.
Working in watercolour on hot-pressed paper, she aims to produce botanical studies that are true to the plant, while showing movement and style. Her study of Papaver orientalis was chosen for the poster for a national society exhibition.
Attending courses at Madingley Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge University Botanic Garden and The Chelsea Physic Garden and courses and workshops run by Gael Sellwood provides her continuing professional development.
